And our employees are also trained to barista in the coffee shop tucked into the back of the store.

This job is an ideal one for someone looking for supplemental income, has read and found some favorite books in their adventures into literature, and is willing to learn new things. As a part-time position employment, we look for individuals who may be looking to get out of the house and socialize while working with a great team of people.
Below is a detailed description of the job. Keep in mind this is not everything that may come up.
Hours: Weekday and Weekend shifts during business hours (8:00 AM - 5:30 PM Monday- Saturday, 1:00 PM-5:30 PM Sunday).
Part time Positions only-12-18 hours. Flexible position.
This job is a cross-trained job, meaning that employees are trained in both sales associate and barista area. Summary The Sales Associate is responsible for creating a sense of welcome and hospitality to Books on Broadway while also providing excellent customer service for all customer needs and purchases
Essential Job Functions Responsibilities (Sales Associate)
• Greet visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
• Direct visitors to desired locations in the store.
• Maintain order of front desk and retail area daily, including stocking books, card racks, Woolworth table, toys, etc.
• Utilize computers for Sales, Order look-up, etc.
• Provide recommendations and offer ordering when books are not in stock.
Responsibilities (Retail Function)
• Provide excellent customer service for all customer needs and purchases.
• Responsible for opening and/or closing the bookstore.
• Assist with merchandise inventories and data input of all inventories.
• Gather information to be used for the ordering of books or merchandise.
• Assist in the display of books or merchandise in store.
• Account for the monies collected from business transactions
• Assist in the receiving and stocking or preparing of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Be competent in all aspects of the POS system and the related equipment including cash registers and computer and printer applications.
• Keep clothing and merchandise on shelves neat and make sure bookshelves are stocked and books are straightened daily.
• Keep in the know of new books coming out and popular authors of the areas.
Summary The Barista is responsible for creating a sense of welcome and hospitality to Dakota Soda & Coffee Company (a.k.a. Books on Broadway Coffee Bar) while also providing excellent customer service for all customer drink and snack needs.

• Greet visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
• Direct visitors to menu items and specials
• Maintain order of coffee bar and behind the bar area
• Prepare and serve drinks that meet quality standards
